Privacy Policy

Tongues AI ("we", "our", or "the app") is an AI voice studio that records, transcribes, translates, and summarizes audio. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Audio recordings: Captured via your device microphone when you explicitly start a recording. Audio is sent to our API (Cloudflare Workers AI) for transcription and translation, and is not stored on our servers after processing.
• Transcriptions and translations: The text output is stored locally on your device (IndexedDB). We do not store your transcriptions on remote servers unless you use Backup & Restore, which saves an encrypted export file you control.
• Usage data: We may collect anonymized usage counters (e.g., number of transcriptions per day) to enforce free-tier limits and improve the service. No personally identifiable information is attached.

2. Microphone Access

We request microphone access only when you tap "Record." The orange recording indicator is visible whenever the microphone is active. We never record audio in the background without your knowledge.

3. Third-Party Services

Audio processing is performed by Cloudflare Workers AI (cloudflare.com). Audio data is transmitted securely over HTTPS and processed in-flight; Cloudflare does not persist your audio. Please review Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage

All recordings, transcriptions, folders, and documents are stored on your device using the browser's IndexedDB. Uninstalling the app or clearing browser data removes this data.

5. Children's Privacy

Tongues AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Your Rights

Because your data lives on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing app data or using the in-app Delete options. Contact us at southwest@southwestcpinvestment.com for any privacy requests.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
